Lifes been crazy as usual!!
Lets see, last weekend i went on a retreat up to Heber Overguard (idk the spelling) with my Honduras team!!(: It was awesome!! Heres a recap of what we did!!(:
Friday: after school we all met up at the church at 5ish to get the cars loaded and head out. The people in my car were awesome!! It was Cheyenne driving, then Jacque up front and then me and Kate in the back(: We stopped at the wallmart in Payson for a team builder/shopping trip. Heres what we did, Robert (our youth pastor) broke us up into our leadership teams and gave us all an envelope with a task inside it. For my team (water/cleaning team) we, meaning me and travis, had to buy lunch for thewhole team for saturday afternoon and make it under $20. He gave us 30 min to do this and meet back at the cars. So everyone runs off to do their stuff. Trav an i wanted to get stuff to make sandwiches for lunch so we go around getting all that stuff when we both thought of making chili instead!!(: Since its supposed to be cold and snowy in Heber. So he hops on the front of the cart and im pushing him to all the isles so we can put alll the sandwhich stuff back, well he didnt brace for the stop and totally fell into the cart. While im on the floor laughing hystarically, hes trying to get out and ended up fallin back in completly squishing the bread and popping open a bag of sunchips. Oh man, funniest thing ever!! You just had to be there i guess if you dont thinnk its that funny :p Anyways, we called robert asking how much time we had left and he said we had a min and 4 seconds left. so me and trav book it to where the chili would be and guess what???!!!! Wall mart has no chili!!!!! NONE!! So we grabbed 6 big cans of clam chowder, the open bag of sun chips and ran to check out lol Once everything was loaded into the cars, we kept on truckin! Made it to the huge cabin safe and sound!!(: The cabin was AH-MAY-ZA-ZING!! Two storries, like 6 bathrooms and two fireplaces at leat 4 bedrooms. Oh man, its was beautiful!!(:
Saturday: Woke up and had breakfast made by the Food team. (kate, jordan and anthony) then got together for a team building activity. We were each blindfolded and given a number. Then we all had to line up in order from smallest to biggest number. Problem was we couldt see or talk. That was pretty interesting, it took us a while but we finally got it(: Then we talked about Communication and Conflict Resolution. Therefore learning the 4 C's of Communication; Clear, Concise, Compassionate, Complete(: After that we had some free time(: It started snowing!!! So we had a mini snowball fight(: It got realllllllly cold so most of us just ended up back inside(: Then Lunch time, me and trav made our clam chowder(: everyone seemed to like it(: After that was some more kinda free time, some people went off to chop some wood while others stayed back at the cabin. Then dinner time!! We had pasta and bread and salad!!(: YUM!! we got Jacque to try an snot a noodle up her nose and make it come out of her mouth. I was recording(: lol She threw up on the last try making me have to run to the bathroom because i was going to throw up. Gross!! So, after that, Jacque and Lindsey decide it would be funny to make gagging noises around me to make me throw up!! Jerks!! :p After dinner was another team builder. This time we were in the garage and there were 4 cinder blocks placed out in the form of a cross. We had two pieces of wood and we had to get everyone from one side of the garage to the other without touching the ground. It was pretty tough especially because the first time only 4 people could talk and then the next time, everyone was blind folded except for 4 people and only 2 outta the 4 could talk. I was one of the ones who couldnt talk. It was really frustrating but fun! We eventually got it done!!(: After that was time with individual leadership teams to make a plan for when we are in Honduras and how to prepare an all that. Next was another team builder thing wher we all sat in a circle and took turns going into the middle. When we were in the middle we couldnt talk wile everyone else took turns saying good leadership skills and qualities that you have. It was cool(: During the time when i was in the middle, Robert made a new rule!! Everytime Travis makes a fat joke about me, i get to pick something for him to eat!!(: MUAHAHA!! Later that night, poor ol travis made a fat joke!! So i made him eat a dorito with ketchup on it!! (he hates ketchup) Oh man!! It was gross!! He pretty much threw it all up!!(: lol ohhh i like this new rule(: lol
Sunday: Last day :( sad sad day :( I really didnt want to go home!! We finished the circle activity after breakfast and then raced around the cabin getting everything cleaned so we could go. After the cabin was cleaned, we took a group picture (whilch i will upload later) and then loaded up the cars and headed home!! Since it was snowing and really windey, we had one of the leaders drive our car so me jacque and kate were in the back(: It was a fun ride home because we had some awesome music blasting, the people in our car were the best and it was snowing!!(: -----> SNOW!! I took this from inside the car(: Isnt it pretty?? Then we finally made it home and had to come back to reality :/ thats never fun!! lol One of the most enjoyable weekends ive had in a long time(: I cant wait for Honduras!!(: Heres a video of some of the snow!!
